Lys W Lounge Armchair by Fasem
Lys W by Fasem is a lounge armchair with a steel frame completely covered in Fasem's full-grain hide leather or premium soft leather, with contrast stitching. The Lys P works great as a contemporary dining chair and is also suitable for office use in the waiting room or as an office visitor chair. The craftsmanship is evident in the hand-finishing, cutting, and stitching of the whole upholstery, from the seat to the armrests and the legs.
The Lys Chair was designed by Marc Sadler. Experimentation with plastics led him to work with the most important sporting goods multinationals in the USA, Asia, Japan, and Europe. His background in an industry where research and experimentation with new materials and production processes are more widespread enabled him to transfer his knowledge to the furniture sector, where the concept of design limited to the aesthetic form is rooted.
Awarded with the Compasso d’Oro ADI and holder of important international awards, some of his works are part of the permanent collection of the MOMA in New York and the Beaubourg Design Collection in Paris. Over his highly established career, he has worked with such high-design furniture makers as Fasem, Flos, Foscarini, Caimi Dainese, Lema, Busnelli, Pedrali, and Ycami.
